Either way, greatness was born
—accident or tequila-fueled genius.

Naturally, we had to throw in our desi twist.
Because why not?

Basically, it’s noodle soup –only tastier

Although the exact pathway of how
spaghetti soup turned into sopa de fideo
from Italy to Spain to Mexico isn’t clear;
we imagine that Mexican cooks began
to adapt dishes brought by the Spaniards
to suit their tastes and cooking methods.

No two cooks make it the same way.

chili pasta salad

Tender farfalle tossed in a tangy garlic dressing
of beans, corn, bell peppers & jalapeños (399)

The locals call it – Ensalada de Coditos

Mexico has its own old-school pasta
making tradition that goes back to the
Conquista in the monastery of Guanajuato.
‍
This flavourful dish is typically served
by locals during family gatherings.
‍
Very likely that the dish evolved and was
adapted to local Latin flavors, it’s sometimes
referred to as an ensalada fria, or “cold salad”.

A questionable, but delicious folklore

Legend has it that chilaquiles can cure
a hangover…or at least make you forget
you had one in the first place.

The word comes from the Aztec Nahuatl,
chīlāquilitl means "soaked in chili".
This all-time fav dish is as staple as it gets.

Even ancient civilizations knew fried tortillas
could solve 90% of your problems.

we swapped cream for yogurt,
because adulting means pretending
to be healthy while still eating dessert.
